06 FAQ

GOT SOME QUESTIONS?

Toronto is where I call home and where I’m based. However, my love for photography knows no bounds, and I will happily travel across Canada and around the world to document couples. One of my favourite things about being a Toronto wedding photographer is how much diversity this city offers.

I love the unique architecture of iconic structures like the Aga Khan Museum or the ROM. The historic Distillery District has the loveliest backdrop of quaint 19th-century buildings and cobblestone streets, while Kensington Market offers something a little bit more bohemian. When I’m looking to be inspired by nature, I take the Toronto island ferries and head to Hanlins Point Beach. And if I’m craving some lush forest vibes I visit Don Valley Brick Works Park or the Humber River.

I have a documentary, hands-off approach. To me, a photograph is only as impactful as the sincerity it reflects. I also really love taking artistic photos, like experimenting with different camera techniques and compositions.

Fo certain parts, I will provide more guidance, like when it’s time for couple or family portraits. In these instances, I am more than happy to provide gentle direction to ensure the images capture the true connection and personality of my couples.

What sets me and my work apart is my commitment to making each photograph reflective and individual to the people I photograph. I believe that every story is unique, and my role is to do what I can to capture the moment as it is. If you’re looking for a photographer who values those real juicy moments without the cheese, I’m your gal!

Feeling awkward in front of the camera is completely natural, and you’re not alone—many couples express the same worry when they first reach out to me. The truth is, being the center of attention can make anyone feel a little self-conscious, and that’s okay.

My approach to overcoming this initial discomfort is first and foremost, prioritizing building a genuine connection and trust with my clients. Think about all those candid photos you love of yourself when you were able to let your guard down. I aim to create a similar feeling during our time together, ensuring that you feel at ease and can truly be yourselves.

I would also like you to rethink why you want to take photos in the first place. It’s not about the photos, the photos I capture are a natural byproduct of the moments we share. Whether it’s an engagement session centred around activities you love, like making a tasty meal together, hiking with your fav furry friend, or sharing an intimate and sensual evening, my goal is for you to have a great time. When you’re immersed in an activity you enjoy, the camera becomes a secondary element, and you can focus on being present and having a darn good time.

Absolutely! This is a really important part of the way I work. Building a connection with my couples is the key to creating photos that depict genuine emotions that make you feel something when you look back at them. To start, let’s have an online meeting or get together for coffee or a walk. It’s a great way to discuss your vision, address any questions or concerns, and ensure we fit well together.

I also always recommend an engagement session. Not only will you get super sweet photos of you and your hunny. But it’s also a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

I sure do! While getting rained on certainly isn’t ideal, I promise it won’t be the end of the world. In fact, rain can add a unique and beautiful element to your photos. Most venues also provide indoor areas in case of unexpected weather changes.

I always come prepared with a clear umbrella and my camera gear is pretty water-resistant, so we can play in the rain. I also have lots of lighting gear and the know-how to get awesome photos if we need to move indoors and the lighting isn’t optimal. Rain or shine, you can trust that we’ll have a great time and you’ll have photos you will love.
